Eastern Great Lakes Student Conference

Located near one of five of Michigan's Great Lakes, Michigan Technological University and it's surrounding area is home to thousands of urban legends, shipwrecks, and tall tales. This is what inspired the theme for the 2021-2022 Michigan Tech Concrete Canoe Team's boat, The Kraken. The team was very young and decided that The Kraken and other nautical myths, based on the wonders of the unknown, was a perfect fit as many of it's new members dove into the unknown throughout last year to create and compete the final product.
