Solar
Water Disinfection Experiment
- PROBLEM
- Much water is developing
countries is below drinking water standards
- Unsafe drinking water
may pose serious health threats
- OBJECTIVE
- Assess
solar water disinfection process (SODIS) developed by the Swiss Federal
Institute for Environmental Science and Technology (EAWAG)
- Conduct
field Experiments
- PROCEDURES
- Researched details of
SODIS
- Developed experimental
matrix and flowchart to be implemented by the Boliva 2004 Senior
Design Students
- CONCLUSION
- If SODIS achieves Bolivian
safe drinking water standard (0 CFU/100 ml), recoomend method to
local Santa Cruz citizens
