Research and Teaching Interests

My research and teaching interests often lead me to study processes at environmental and disciplinary interfaces. To study environmental processing of chemicals, I have employed field, laboratory, computational, and modeling approaches. My recent research activities have related to the atmosphere, sustainability, and the Great Lakes. My research and teaching interests include:

  • transport and transformation of organic chemicals
  • analytical methods to identify and quantify organic chemicals in environmental matrices
  • atmosphere-biosphere exchange of chemicals
  • sustainability and resilience
