William J. Winiarski, P.E., P.S., Class of '73
Mr. William Winiarski, Chairman of the Board
and Marketing Principal, ROWE, Incorporated completed his
baccalaureate degree in civil engineering in 1973. Mr. Winiarski
started to work for Rowe Engineering in 1971 while still enrolled
at Michigan Tech and in his years with the company has served
as a Project Manager (1976), Vice President (1978), President/Chief
Operating Officer (1986), and was promoted to CEO of the company
in 1991. Rowe, Inc. based in Flint, Michigan, offers a diversified
range of consulting services to public and private clients.
The company has three offices throughout the state and has
a staff of over 150 employees.
Mr. Winiarski is a National Director of The
American Consulting Engineers Council. He is a Planning Commissioner
Michigan Region V, serves as Treasurer for Flint/Genesee Economic
Growth Alliance, is Vice Chairman of the Genesee Area Focus
Council, and is past President of the Flint Chapter of Michigan
Society of Professional Engineers, and East Central Michigan
Chapter of American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a Professional
Engineer and Professional Surveyor in Michigan.
Bill has been very active in his support
of Michigan Tech, serving on the Michigan Tech Fund Board
of Trustees and he currently serves on the Civil and Environmental
Engineering Educating Graduates of Choice Campaign committee.
Bill and his wife, Anne, have three children and live in Linden,
Michigan.
